INGREDIENTS
- 1 c. oatmeal
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 c. coconut
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tbsp. boiling water
- 1/4 c. melted butter
- 2 tbsp. light Karo syrup
INSTRUCTIONS
Mix all dry ingredients. Dissolve baking soda in boiling water and add to melted butter and Karo syrup. Add to dry ingredients and mix well.
Place in teaspoonful on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 15 minutes. Makes 3 dozen.
VARIATIONS:
Add 1 ounce nuts, 1 ounce raisins, 1 cup granola and omit oatmeal.
